Blood test - alcohol markers

Can someone help… my ex husband que an alcoholic. Long story short he is allowed to see the children as long as the markers in blood are consistent with abstinence - no signs of chronic abuse. I know he has been drinking heavily and is now taunting me as he apparently had a blood transfusion (4pints) so he thinks his test will be clear. Is that right?

Thank you for responding. Yes it is a PETh and also something gamma. The system is skewed in such a way that I would need to take him back to court with funds I really don’t have. If I withhold contact he won’t take me back to court to challenge it or enforce an order - he will just tell our 7 and 9 year old how much he misses them and can’t see them because I won’t let him.

It will depend what test and whether he’s been drinking since the transfusion etc etc. I’m not an expert but have had to learn something about this. E.g. if it’s Testing for Peth (the most reliable test), and he had been drinking before the transfusion, I’d imagine it’s possible it’d be picked up as he hasn’t had all his blood replaced. However, it would presumably be diluted, i.e a lower result. If it’s Peth and he’s been drinking since the transfusion, it should be picked up.

if this is court ordered, you could flag up the transfusion to court?
