Chillys vs thermos food pot

Which is better?!

DS has just started a new nursery - at a school - and is not keen on a lot of the food choices. (Talking to the staff it would seem he is not alone!)

I have agreed to packed lunches some days but would like to send something hot eg soup or pasta, especially in winter. Just bamboozled by all of the food pot reviews out there!

So which is better…. Chillys… or Thermos?!
There’s only one way to find out!!

My son has the Chilliy's one - he's eighteen though! He loves it and uses it daily for college.

My three DC have these thermos ones, they've had them 4 years now and they still leave food nice and hot for lunch time. The lids are easy to unscrew and the little foldable spoon still going strong (and somehow miraculously not lost)

Just adding, Sainsbury's often have the thermos ones reduced in store.

Thermos is miles ahead of any of its competitors at either hot or cold. It's also sometimes a bit more slimline

Are they allowed them at school? Our primary doesn't so worth checking

@Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin do you prewarm with boiling water first?

I don't think you can beat Stanley's for this sort of thing. Way better than Thermos imo (haven't tried Chilly's, tbf). They do a great little food flask which is very easy to clean.

I popped on to say the same, everywhere mine have been have only allowed cold packed lunches. Sorry OP not what you asked but my experiences with thermos always been great but I've not tried chillys

I've had a Stanley food flask for years. It's brilliant. No need to fight about it! Wink
