Absolutely mortified!!

I'm at parents evening and after finishing with one of the teachers I accidentally awkwardly hugged her... She opened one arm out, I put my hand out and we ended up doing a half handshake and half hug like rappers do, omg it was so awkward...

Anyone else accidentally done something mortifying, please relay me with teacher stories so I don't feel as embarrassed...

BTW, it was the first time I'd met her too...

Absolutely embarrassing! Now waiting to see another teacher, hopefully will not make the same mistake...

I once finished off a long detailed VM to my boss with ...."ok, love you, bye!"

I feel your pain Revengers18.

I bumped into my DDs Head of House in the car park on the way into a school event.
He exclaimed "Mrs Itis, lovely to see you again!", and he leaned forward.
I stupidly thought he was leaning forward to greet me by kissing me on both cheeks.
So we had an awkward air kiss and then I noticed he had actually leaned forward with his hand extended to shake my hand.
Absolutely mortified and made worse by DD & DH not far behind looking on wondering what on earth was going on!
Can feel myself blushing now!

😁😁 that's hilarious OP.

DS is very energetic and constantly on the go, nothing seems to wear him out. One day he had a busy day with school sports but was still bouncing all, over the place. I saw his teacher and decided to joke with him about him not wearing DS out enough and started with 'I have a bone to pick with you....' except it came out quite agressively and he looked at me in surprise, which I then had to quickly back pedal and explain he hadn't worn DS out enough and try to laugh it off. I was mortified. Unfortunately DS has the same teacher again so I have to face him now.

On a night out bumped into one of my DC teachers who was in the pub and quite well oiled.
He launched into a very lewd one sided conversation with my friend about how she looked like she would love 'back door sex'. (And im not talking about a quickie in the garden)
That made for an interesting parents night for everyone when it came round that year.
Dont know which one of us was more uncomfortable Blush

On multiple occasions I've said to my boss on the phone "love you bye!"
I think he expects it now!

I was having a facial, the beautician had put a hair band on me to keep my hair back.

At the end of the treatment she leaned towards me with both arms out to remove the hairband, I got confused and gave her a hug. Awkward!

Who hasn’t done something like that?

I said, “bye darling!” To my happily married (like me) male boss many, many times when I forgot that I was talking to my WORK husband, not my REAL husband.

I can't recall doing it myself, although I possibly have, but I had an employee end a call by saying love you bye, and I also had a very senior and very staid manager send me a text saying thanks with a kissy face emoji at the end, he's not that kind of bloke, I genuinely think he wasn't concentrating and did it automatically, as I sat there thinking did the head of Germany just send me kissy faces 🤣

In hospital, there was a shift change and new nurse came round the ward. She was chatting to me from bottom of my bed, I was tucked in got the night. She put her hand out to get my chart, but I reckoned she wanted to shake hands, so awkwardly leaned down the length of entire bed to put my hand out. I was practically lying flat on my stomach. Fair play, she shook it without looking too 🤔

I walked past ds's teacher after dropping him in a couple of weeks ago and I noticed she'd straightened her hair and out of nowhere I far too enthusiastically started going on about how gorgeous it is and how I'd been wanting to tell her for AGES.just gave me a very muted "thanks" and carried on walking past me as I stood there smiling maniacally acting like a stalker. I was dying inside.

Don’t feel bad OP. I did EXACTLY the same thing with a new starter at work, and to make it worse my manager was watching and made an ‘awkward’ face. I still cringe when I think about it, over a year later.

I cupped my hairdresser's boob.

She's not my hairdresser now.
