How easy is Online Yoga?

I'm considering starting yoga again but I'm a real beginner and I'm worried I won't be able to understand the positions as well online as I did in live classes?
Any experience s?

Give it a go, what have you got to lose? If you find it difficult to follow watch first then follow. I like this as it’s calming and gives me a chance to tidy an area and you see the positions properly without trying to do it.

I've been doing Yoga with Adrienne, but only the beginner videos as I'm in no way fit enough yet to do the more complicated poses. I even found one of her videos that I can do from my bed

I used to attend proper classes once a week and loved these but time constraints with DC and work meant I can no longer attend so online videos are great.

I love yoga. I’ve done it on and off for years. Few tips. Don’t worry if you think you’re not doing it right. Your form will get better the more you practice. Also, don’t worry about doing it exactly like the person on tv. They’ve probably been at it for years, you’re only just starting. Finally, don’t push yourself too hard because you could easily pull muscles. Go gently and do what your body is telling you. As time goes on you’ll find you can bend further etc

Yoga with Adriennes beginner videos are super gentle. I prefer the YouTube format to a live streamed class as I can pause it if I’m stuck/keep falling over in a balancing pose.

Thanks everyone! It's my local teacher and I'd love to support her over this period. I'd planned to restart in September but this may be the push to do it!
