What do you think of this idea and name?

Hi

Myself and a friend are in the process of starting up a fresh healthy eating delivery service. I am on SW and since then noticed how unhealthy restaurants, take aways etc actually are! And few people kept saying to me to start selling my food as it tasted so good. I've done a business's plan and have costings etc all ready to go along with completing our food hygiene certs.

It would include all healthy meals (not just salad but normal meals cooked healthy)

We are thinking of calling it Slim Heroes with a tag line of Eat Fresh Think Less.

What do you think of the name? As soon as its 100% decided we will register with the local council etc

Any feedback Isla welcome and appreciated thank you!

I love the idea, there's a couple of similar businesses round here and they're always in demand. I hate the name though, sorry. It implies that the only people who will want to eat your food are those who are actively watching their weight. I'd go for a much broader fresh and healthy type name and then in the blurb about the business you can explain a little about how it might appeal to people on certain plans.

I agree - like the concept but not the name. I think the name needs to be to do with the fresh/ healthy food nothing to do with body size.

Healthy heroes rather than Slim Heroes? That way you are broadening your market to those who want to eat healthily but aren't trying to lose weight.

Yes, good idea but I dislike the name too. Would want to feel I was eating wholesome, nutritious food because I make good choices, not because I am overweight! People who are already slim may not be attracted to this name.

I love the idea, and would use you if you were in my area as I'm also doing SW.

But I don't want to feel I'm "different" I just want to eat healthier normal meals .... so would hate ordering from "Slim (anything)". So, I'd agree .... go for a "healthy" name, not a "slimming" one, as I fear that would massively narrow your market.

Good luck!

What makes you special from all the other healthy food delivery companies out there?

Jane Plan? Lite n Easy? The detox kitchen? Various smoothie delivery companies? Able n Cole? Hello Fresh?
Balance box? Nutrichef? Honest root? Everdine? Pure package?

... I could go on

Although I agree re slim heroes you want to be able to leverage the connection with slimming world and that the meals you're offering will be Syn Free/Low syn (I assume) without any of the branding as you'll end up getting sued, and you can't advertise meals as being 1 syn etc as they have to be tested and approved by SW which costs a fortune.

Thank you so much for the feedback!

That was also my only thing with the name Slim too as I wasn't 100% sure on it and I'm glad to have the feedback on it before we register!

We don't have anything like this in our area apart from the ones mentioned but they cost a fortune ! We will be doing it so you can buy one meal or 3 or however many you like and it won't break the bank.

Your write I won't be able to advertise them as syn value (spoken to my consultant about it) but will say something along the lines of it stays in plan of the biggest life style changes out there (not in those words but you get my drift)

I have a lot of friends who give up on dieting because they can't cook or become bored of it etc so want to help people stay healthy (lose weight if wanted) and at affordable prices.

I really am shocked at how unhealthy all the eating outlets are! Hopefully this gives everyone a chance to have a takeaway as such and it be filling and healthy not just crap!
