Hi Everyone,

This is my first time posting my own thread so sorry if I've missed anything

OK so our little Bubba has just turned 1 and we're starting to collect a big pile of toys in the house. Our little one plays with some toys but then get's bored of them real quickly and so moves on to something else all the time so we started buying more toys for him to keep him entertained and that's when I had an idea to start up a business where you can rent toy box's.

Every time your little one is starting to get bored you can send the box back and get a new set of toys. I thought it would be good as you don't have to find space to store so many toys and every time your little one get's bored you just send back the toy box and you'll get a fresh set of toys for them to play with.

Anyway it's still early days as I'm still thinking about what we do with breakages, what types of toys, etc but thought it'd be good to ask to see what everyone thought and whether this is a crazy idea or something people might be interested in.

hi, this kind of already exists in the form of toy libraries which are run by charities / children's centres , aimed at those on low incomes, but accessible to anyone registered at the children's centre.. I guess if there wasn't one in your local area there might be a market for it.. but it's so easy to pick up cheap toys at boot sales/ charity shops /facebook selling etc and sell /pass them on when finished with I can't see it really taking off tbh sorry.

I had heard about these toy libraries (unfortunately there's not one in my area) but I think it's a really good idea for low income families or anyone that wanted to join.

And definitely no need to say sorry, any feedback is good advice

Rather than low income families I was thinking of targeting the middle income families, putting in higher value toys, that are the latest toys around and tailoring the box based on their feedback, but this is definitely something to think about as why would you sign up if you can already get the service somewhere else
