Hi there

Have a wonderful part time job (was full time before dd born) and last year I qualified in my job as a horticulturalist. Unfortunately dh may have to take a pay cut this year so was hoping to find a better paid job but because it's a more career job they are all full time, am gutted. Don't really want to work more than 4 days a week as childcare gets silly and want to see dd too Smile

I had a similar issue following redundancy..There are no professional part time jobs..unlesd you have negociated down from full time in an existing post. I solved it by setting up my own company as a consultant. I work the hours I want to. Is that an option in horticulture?

It can take time to become established, luckily I had redundancy money to tide me over. Good luck, I wouldnt change it now though.

Hi, I know it's really difficult still to get any type of job out there at the moment. Rather than finding another job with set hours have you thought about doing something from home that's flexible around your current part time job and the family? If you are open to looking at alternative options i'd be happy to share what we are doing that's really helping us financially and improving our life.
