children's toy/products

I have two seperate ideas for children's toys/products. At the moment they are both just ideas. I am really very confident in both ideas but just have no clue what to do next! Ideally I don't want to invest lots of money in it (as I don't have the money and I don't want that risk). Do existing companies buy ideas? Would I need prototypes? Would I get a percentage of the profits or would it be a one off payment? I have looked into patenting them and I don't think I can. I have never ran a business/manufactured anything before and it all seems to daunting/enormous for me! However I don't want to sit on it anymore as if i don't do this I'm sure someone else will think of it and do it!

Go for it! Like you said if you don't someone else will.
Try the British Library for research they have a variety of workshops for those wanting to start a business.
