I may have missed it but I’ve not seen the not usually backwards in coming forward likes of shon Faye, Paris lees, Munro bergdorf coming out and loudly supporting LH

I wonder if LH is the wrong kind of TW for the cause. Perhaps they are not the poster TW they wanted for the Olympics

LH isn't exactly a poster girl for femininity. It is odd though isn't it, why aren't they all over it?

So they left it to Fallon Fox? Not sure they are quite the spokes person for trans sports anyone would want to garner public support.

When even Harper felt uncomfortable in supporting Hubbard’s inclusion, I guess there will be less high profile support from within the community.

I’m eagerly awaiting Hubbard’s Vanity Fair cover - or Oprah interview...

Quinn should be getting all the press. Quinn will actually get a medal. Perhaps the silence is because Quinn plays in their own sex female class and Quinn is perhaps not quite far enough under the trans umbrella, being NB.

Not quite stunning and brave enough for all the gushing media coverage?

Did they join in with the support for the naked male in Wi Spa? I didn't notice but I'm not on Twitter much. A middle-aged, middle-class white person taking the place of a young woman of colour may be a factor in the silence, but the everyday exclusion of women from religious minorities from public spaces with mixed sex toilets and changing rooms doesn't seem to bother them.

I think it is because it is actually quite difficult to justify. Rather like it being legal to place male rapists in women's prisons. A man potentially winning any medal at a female event is an uncomfortable, stark reminder that women do lose out.

The thought process is 'of course TWAW so they must play women's sport, room for everyone, let's all be inclusive'

'But hang on a minute, what if that means two men in the ladies final at Wimbledon'

'That will never happen, such a small number, would never do it for advantage, blah blah'

'Look - there is a man in a female event at the Olympics. This just shows what could happen'

'Mmm - not a mainstream sport, though, doesn't matter, they didn't win'

'Yes but could you guarantee that a future Olympics won't have a line up of all men in the women's 100m final? How?'

'Ummm, errr, inclusion, science is still evolving, not a clash of rights, nothing to see here'

Hubbard isn’t making an awful lot of effort to look like them. No makeup. No giant hairdo. Great big middle-aged man gut. Clear what’s in the toolbox under the Lycra. Hubbard Is letting their side down by looking the way those others don’t want to look.

Oh dear how sad...

Do all minority groups have to speak on behalf of each other? They're not one homogeneous group, and assuming them to be so is pretty ignorant.

I just googled Quinn and they won a medal, Prick News has written an article but not much more attention.

There is also the non binary identifying female skateboarder, there was a big fuss about her pronouns being etched on the skateboard and the BBC getting it wrong.

There is rightly no fuss about them competing since they are both in the correct category.

Even this raises uncomfortable questions. If everyone is happy for NB and trans men to compete in the women's, with their clear male advantage, why are trans women in the women's too? Either sex matters or it doesn't. Either gender matters, or it doesn't. What it ends up looking like is that the IOC know full well male bodies have an advantage and they don't care about women's sport. Or women BTW.

Unfortunately that will probably just end up with Trans men and NB being thrown under the bus and excluded. With all their male priviledge. Hmm
