Not of any real signifigance but yet again on MSM the only ones speaking up for women in sport not being made to compete against MtF is right wing men. Sad

Haven't watched this as I just think Jeremy Vine should be put in a playground somewhere but a friend alerted me to it. Mainly because it was so obvious JV with his BBC indoctrination felt he couldn't say anything. And the woman commentator took the "we need to think about this a bit more" [sigh]

But looks like from twitter that members of the public understand that it isn't very "sporting" for men to insist because they identify as female, they have a right to be in women's sports.

Dont the people who earn their living feeding off each other see how stupid they look to most people?

I did not understand what the female presenter was meaning... when they ‘realign’???

Surely the person making the decision to transition or not should have considered that they potentially will no longer be able to play sport with women if regulations change as more evidence comes to light. (Including whether women who have benefited from testosterone during transition and whether they could ever compete with women if they desist).

Right along with the fact that they may be sacrificing their future fertility and health issues (including never producing enough of their own hormones).

Who is the woman who was falling over herself trying not to display any wrongthink? She sort of came round in the end but she was clearly struggling

Maybe the sports issue will wake people up, because it's so visible and blatant. The Tokyo Olympics start in July. Sports-lovers may question the presence of massive male bodies on the winners' podium in women's events.

The International Olympics Committee ruled in 2003 that trans athletes had to have had sex-reassignment surgery. But in 2015 this was changed to allow male-bodied TWs to compete in women's events. (Information from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender_people_in_sports)

Apart from keeping their testosterone levels below 10 nanomoles/litre (still much higher than most female athletes), the new guidelines require only that TW athletes declare their gender and do not change that assertion for four years.

No known TW athletes competed in the 2016 Olympics, though they have taken medals and prizes in many other levels of women's sport.

Clearly the public is not very woke, given the responses.

Have now watched it and really depressed to know one of the "supportive" men was Martin Daubney. Not shown in the clip but apparently even he was quite subdued and relied on Peter Bleksley (ex police) to speak clearly and said he would be in trouble on twitter.

I think the woman is Suzy Amy? an actress?

That Jeremy Vine - what a slime ball. Responding to PB with "how interesting" as if someone at the BBC hasn't heard what the arguements are.

Hypocrite.

Bet they book a trans celebrity to come on the show.
