Interesting comments by the judge.

At a previous hearing, the court was told Mr Jackson's father, Peter, had used his retirement fund to help finance his son's defence costs

Raiding daddy's pension pot - keeping it classy, Paddy.

I hope he is kept awake at night wondering how he's going to pay it all back. Somehow I doubt it, though. He doesn't strike me as someone with much in the way of a conscience.

Well that is something. They’ve got contracts elsewhere so that bastard can pay Daddy back

If they had won, who would have paid their costs? The victim or the taxpayer?

The taxpayer. The first lot of replies made me smile, despite the whole sorry thing.

Good, but still feels as if justice has not been served.

The judge definitely didn't celebrate them as innocent men.
