Justice for Jourdain

The CPS have declined to prosecute Jourdain's boyfriend for murder when she apparently fell from a balcony during an argument with him, and backtracked after they indicated they would prosecute for manslaughter when Jourdain's family appealed. The Centre for Women's Justice with the fantastic feminist lawyer Harriet Wistrich are working with the family to challenge the CPS to take this case to court.

I find this a horrifying case, and the thought that this man may get away with without ever being tried for murder/manslaughter when there is clearly circumstantial evidence that he killed her is frightening. It also seems they have been treated badly by the CPS and misled.

This is an awful case and the CPS have behaved appallingly. Unbelievable that they would decide not to prosecute and force the family to have to fundraise to challenge them.
