OTOH Yay! Embraces his gender-non-conforming behaviour, is accepted (apparently) wholeheartedly by women, doesn't 'need' to change his pronouns or anything else about him.

OTOH man joins women's group, starts off quietly at the back, but is soon centre-front, the focus of attention and effecting changes to the group. How much of that is because he is a good dancer, which would be the same for a woman joiner, and how much of that is because he is a man?

Uh, I’m not a fan of the form, but it is what it is and the only problem is that this is currently remarkable.

By 'the form' do you mean cheerleading?

Didn't watch the video, but it says he's suffered homophobia in the past so I'm going to assume GNC in this instance means "doesn't want to fuck women" and "likes to dance"

My guess is he's centre front for aesthetic reasons. Symmetry n all that.

Ok I watched it, he's just taken over hasn't he?

I don't think that being gay is particularly GNC any more.

No, by GNC I meant that he wants to do an activity generally associated with women, and doesn't feel he needs to pretend to be a woman (and force that pretence on others) in order to join in with the activity.

Yes.

I’d rather women were doing the sport than cheering it.

But if cheering needs doing, then mixed cheering is less objectionable.
