This is so clear and so heartbreaking. She is so brave to share all this. Any politician who is not moved by it must have a heart of stone (yes, I know some of them do!) The author asks for it to be shared with women's groups. I will share with my MP too and maybe on fb if I am feeling brave.

Agh don't think link is clicky! Can anyone help?

Thats a powerful piece of writing. I share the authors concerns especially about having mixed groups and psychiatric wards.
I've seen trans activists online telling women they should to 'get over themselves' or 'get over their trauma'.
They have no fucking clue what they are talking about. Its been 13 years and I am just starting to recover from PTSD. My recovery has been delayed by further attacks and incidents.

I think those people want us to stay at home in silence.

Thank you DJ for the clicky link and Flowers for you. Yes it is very powerful. She keeps asking 'why are their feelings more important than daily lived reality?' and nobody should argue with that.

If any good has come out of the Harvey Winetein scandal, it’s more people waking up to exactly how many women have been abused.

This is not rare.

And in actual fact women shouldn’t have to have been raped, sexually assaulted or abused to want space away from men. The fact that men rape, assault and abuse is enough.

I know the #metoo campaign has produced different reactions, but one good thing about it is the sheer number of women affected is becoming clear.
