So post Brexit, it's a free for all, especially against women rights.

That's £10,000 down the pan then.

This is someone who receives a handsome yearly salary courtesy of the taxpayer and will have an MP pension.

And what the hell does fatherless mean? Does it include men who bugger off to the other end of the country, effectively abandoning their first family (leaving them on benefits) and start up a new family?

I may be projecting a bit

Phillip Davies has a nasty old track record.

He has filibustered bills to introduce compulsory first aid training in schools, to give carers free parking at hospitals (while also voting against any bill to increase carer's allowance, and simultaneously gurning for pictures with constituents during carer's events.), a tenancy reform bill which would have prevented landlords from being able to evict tenants for asking for simple repairs to be done, even when the house is unfit to live in, an international development bill and a bill to ban live animals being used in circuses.

He also infamously asked why there couldn't be a men's day celebrated in the HoC, and has basically whined about it ever since, which has made him a darling of the men's rights extremist groups.

He previously worked for Asda, where he had a reputation that I probably can't mention so won't. The guy's a cock of the first water.

And yes Elendon... fatherless children are those who have been abandoned by their sperm donor or the father was a violent/abusive twat who a court has quite rightly said shouldn't be near his children unsupervised or the father has refused to pay child maintenance and abandoned the child or, in incredibly rare cases, the mother has said that the father cannot see their child for no discernible reason. According to the deadbeat dads though, it's always because their ex 'won't let him see his kids, despite him being a good dad '

Theresa May squashed Dominic Raab when he tried to do MRA whinging in the House of Commons a few years ago so hopefully this will be seen as the path to career death under her premiership.

I'm guessing May won't want to censure him in public for fear of being "too feminist" for much of her party's tastes. Corbyn won't want to get into it and once again open prejudice like Boris' racism will become more socially and politically acceptable.

Btw I am not at all opposed to the House of Commons celebrating International Men's Day, provided debates which are about men's issues are held back to take place on it. This would also give a platform to discuss under-representation of men in midwifery, an issue I am surprised to discover Mr Davies cares about.

20p bet says that PD couldn't give a shiny shit about male midwives.

I have no problem either with the HoC celebrating IMD, it was more the whiny way he brought it up when IWD was being discussed.

Ugh.
I don't understand why this is ok. Its bordering on hate speech. Can you imagine the uproar if he said this about a minority group? Or if there was a political party out there giving medals for whiny black activist of the month, lying disability campaigner of the month and toxic lgbt activist of the month? They'd be prosecuted.
He needs to have some parliamentary discipline and I hope TM does that. Not holding my breath though.

Bucky Mike has come onto MN before to let us know how awful women are. And to try and sell one or two of his stupid books. Was quite funny.

Hopefully, at the next election, the women of his constituency will remember what a whiny arse he is and put their X next to someone else's name.

What a tosser.

Report
Elendon · 12/08/2016 19:21

What really gets me about this, apart from the absurdity, is his naming of women who want equal rights, zealots, and men who support these zealots, inferior, but at a conference in which men are demanding equal rights. Where is the logic in this?

In fact, it does everyone a huge disservice.

He should be suspended from Parliament.

Because it's not about equal rights for those kinds of men, it's about a return to a time when women never got custody of children after divorce, when women didn't have the vote and men could control every aspect of their females' lives.

The Secret Barrister on the ever fragrant Mr Davies.

Such a nice, sensible chap.

Absolutely fuming about this and his absolute hate towards women. How can this tosser spout this crap in the same week the figures about sexual harassment came out.

And the thread about the CMS in Site Stuff absolutely shows beyond all doubt how its weighted in favour of men.

PD is also the one who said disabled people should work for less than minimum wage.

He really is the gift that keeps on giving.

That Janet Bloomfield (one of the articles linked to) is a real charmer too. You can almost feel the spittle hitting you.

Janet Bloomfield is and endless delight. I sometimes wonder what happened to her to make her hate her own sex so much, and then I realise that I don't actually care, just just needs to stop.
