Feminist views on the B Team?

No views either <helpful> but I noticed the NASA story and was pleased about it. I also saw this www.nesta.org.uk/news_and_features/futurefest_innovators on an e-newsletter recently. And it struck me that there was a balance. Despite the voluntary/non-for-profit sector being more aware of gender bias, lists like this/conference platforms can often be full of white middle aged men.

No views! Yet. But how about this:


I would rather prefer "8 new astronauts, 4 of them men", or just "8 new astronauts"
and expect 4 men and 4 women, but as it is, it's not too bad, I think.

I was expecting white male faces, with maybe a token woman or two, but for once, there seems a reasonable balance of male and females
