27,00 signatures now. The Telegraph has an article saying that the people supporting the campaign are out of touch old woman!! The usual propaganda if you protest at any porn anywhere or don't laugh at sexist jokes.

The censorious campaign against Page 3 is driven by the oldest and most foul form of snobbery!!! snobbery??

Sounds a big number till you realise that the female readership of the sun is 3.1 million daily average. Less than 1% of volume of the females reading the paper have signed the petition.

Figures on readership here

I don't want my daughter to grow up in a country where soft porn is ok. People can do what they want, but I remember what it was like to be hassled as a teenager (long time ago) and I don't think it should be acceptable in the biggest circulation paper. Yes you can find it in other places, if you go looking for it, but this 'feature' legitimises a strand of turning young women into objects for men that we could do without. I don't think it is 'harmless fun'. This is 2012, not 1971!! PLease sign and spread the word if you agree.

this is 2012, not 1971

and in 1971 at least if you wanted to see images of people being penetrated by 3 men at once, getting 50 loads of semen down their throat in an hour, drug-addicted women who've exhausted their money making potential for the men behind mainstream porn being penetrated by horse and dog penises, etc. you'd have to know criminals or go to a few streets in Soho where corrupt police allowed it.

And people convicted of selling this sort of material faced serious jail sentences. Now it's all over the internet

We've gone backwards, not forwards, on porn with the exception of the laws against child abuse images.
