Hello. I have a post in aibu about this, 'teen abuse'. I have posted lots of clips to a film that has been made by the survivors of 'Straight Inc', a 'teen rehab' for wayward teens. There is a place on the 'fornits' forum for 'survivors tales'. Teenage girls were made to spend (what they call) 'rap' sessions, which were hours of 'confessions'. In the girls' sessions they were made to 'confess' their sexual experiences and were called sluts and whores. The girls were in a session with a male 'counsellor' (highly inappropriate, imo) in a room with a two way mirror (why?). I don't know if this is a feminist issue but I thought I would try posting it here.
I read this on the fornits survivors' site. It is the two way mirror that spooks me. The 'counsellors' got their training and qualifications from another institution that has been shut down. The links are on aibu.
