the justifications are laughable

Pammy ?

Yep, that's about right hmm

As in dancing round a may*pole* - I think not hmm. There are plenty of other dance and fitness styles more appropriate. It doesn't take much for any dancewear to be provocative in the wrong context.

God that's so fucked up.

Can we do what was done with the PandO breastfeeding I wonder?

msrisotto Mon 07-Feb-11 19:28:05

Oh god that video is awful. Not much fitness going on either, lots of slow 'sexy' movements.

LilBB Mon 07-Feb-11 19:34:18

Whats wrong with a ballet class? Or here's a novel idea if children need to get fit why don't they just play out? I don't like the idea of selling fitness classes to children but a class in hanging upside down on a pole in your knickers. How does that benefit children in any way. It sickens me how children are being sexualised and taught that demeaning yourself for men is a fun and normal activity. They may pretend it's empowering but it's not. The people running these classes should be ashamed of themselves. What's next?

AnyFucker Mon 07-Feb-11 19:57:37

what's next ?

striptease for primary school kids

nickytwotimes Mon 07-Feb-11 20:04:20

holy shit.

msrisotto Mon 07-Feb-11 20:27:23

The next logical step must surely be for paedophilia to be legalised, if we're going to put such an effort into making children sexy!!

sethstarkaddersmackerel Mon 07-Feb-11 20:28:42

what was the PandO breastfeeding UnrulySun?

SmellsLikeTeenStrop Tue 08-Feb-11 09:29:11

I am quite happy and comfortable with saying that if you send your child to such a class then you have failed as a parent.

AnyFucker Tue 08-Feb-11 09:32:31

oh, yes, I agree with that, absolutely

wolfhound Tue 08-Feb-11 09:33:17

So wrong...

dessen Tue 08-Feb-11 09:42:36

What has happened to parents? How can they even begin to think this is acceptable.

BarryShitpeas Tue 08-Feb-11 09:46:37

Would a class like that not be breaking some laws about child protection/duty of care stuff?

I've just watched the first 10 seconds of that youtube video. How uncomfortable do they look confused. And that music...
I feel really sorry for the girls. It looks like they really want to learn how to dance but some misguided person has directed them to Up yer Pole instead...

sakura Tue 08-Feb-11 11:40:00

I just don't see how you can even compare artlessly opening and crossing your legs whilst dressed in underwear to dancing. WTF

Unrulysun Tue 08-Feb-11 16:22:47

Seth it was a thread which got the company's policy changed really quickly. I'll see if I can link it.

Msrisotto this is striptease for primary school children shock
