I've noticed for my last two periods that on the day/night immediately afterward I have vaginal dryness. As well as the dryness and itchiness, the worst thing is - god, this is really TMI, but that's why I'm on an anonymous forum I suppose - that if I get what I can only describe as a front bottom bubble (you know like if you sit down funny or whatever and a bit of air gets trapped in your vulva) it doesn't go away, it just sticks. Last night it took me ages to get to sleep. It seems to have righted itself now (as it did last month IIRC) but I just wondered if anyone's had the same and if this is the start of perimenopause (I'm in my 40s) or might it be something else, and what helps - should I use KY or is there something better?
Sigh. I'm so tired. Bodies are awful. Getting old is awful. In the manner of the Stoics I have tried to prepare for ageing by trying to imagine contracting the illnesses that my older relatives got. I did not think that I would already be undone in my 40s from a dry foof
