As per the title, my left boob hasn't been "right" for about 3-4 months, the best way to explain it is I'm constantly aware of it if that makes sense? I've had a constant pain, it can vary from bearable to burning & then stabbing, there's no correlation with periods either. It can feel like the pain is spreading from deep inside to the ribs/muscle(?) around it too. The best way to describe the pain is what I imagine an ulcer to feel like?!
Anyway when I've been climbed on by D.C. I've felt (when elbowed) they've hit a lump. So I went to the GP for peace of mind and she said it feels more dense than the other & it could be ductal. She also said there's a lump about the size of a peanut at the spot where I thought it was but it was moveable. She's referred me for an ultrasound so should have that in the next few weeks as where we live she said it's normally 2 weeks.
I'm posting just for reassurance I guess?! I know no-one can give me a diagnosis obviously but if anyone has any experience of any of it I'd really appreciate it!

Maybe it’s a cyst? I had this and was thinking the worst (cancer) and it turns out it is a cyst. They monitored it and said I can get it removed it is continues to cause me issues.

OP, I've had similar - especially the feeling of constantly feeling aware of it along with pain.
Can't feel a lump tho - when to GP who examined me and said she couldn't feel anything either but was happy to refer me. I have now received a 2 week urgent referral appt 😳 despite GP saying l didn't fit the criteria! Cue panic!!

@friendlymum A two week referral is standard for any breast lump. Most are absolutely nothing to worry about.

(And hopefully the OP is sorted now, the thread is from May.)

I had this and got a 2 week referral
They found fibroitic tissue (hard ridged and lumpy) and I can no longer wear normal bras
Wearing soft no underwire bras has solved the pain

Thanks ladies - had yet another letter thro the post this morning re 2 week pathway etc and whilst I'm trying not to panic, it's hard!! My imagination is running on overtime 😕

You wouldn’t be normal if you were not worried. I am sure that the panic caused by these scares causes more harm than realised. Try to stay calm. The GP wasn’t overly concerned, you are being seen in a short time and there are many causes other than the dreaded one that your imagination has conjured up. Take care of yourself and try to tell yourself you will worry when there is something to worry about.

Hi all thanks for the replies I don't get any notifications for threads & just stumbled across this & thought it sounded familiar! 🙈 I went to the breast clinic they checked again and did a scan and all was clear thankfully, they advised to keep an eye on I and any more changes to go back.
Thanks again!
