Can we talk *cough* pelvic floor?

I am feeling like a big old bag of shite. I've had 2 children, my pelvic floor isn't great and I can occasionally leak but only if doing something extreme like running, trampolining, bouncy castle etc!

I have a horrific chest infection and coughing and spluttering like mad. Today I have gone through 4 tena lady, 3 pairs of knickers, 3 pairs of leggings and a dress. I am literally a walking talking piss leaking machine!

Please tell me I'm not the only person who suffers like this? I just feel disgusting and dirty!!

For fuck's sake, don't cough while talking about your pelvic floor. That my friend is a recipe for disaster!

Ask your GP for a referral to gynae physio, there are lots of things that can be done to help matters, don't suffer in silence. Hope you're feeling better Flowers

I got referred to physio which didn't work, next step was surgery, best thing I ever did! I have a beautiful "designer vagina" that doesn't leak and I no longer smell of piss!

Thanks all.

I do try to remember to do pelvic floor strengthening exercises every day, they don't seem to have helped much though :( I'm seeing the GP Tuesday for something else so will ask about a referral!

Thankfully the cough is subsiding a little so I'm not as pissy today!! 😂

Fellow pisser here too😂I went to physio and it helped massively but I didn’t keep up the hard work so I’m back to crossing my legs if anyone makes me laugh x

dalmationmad - i was coming on here to ask about surgery options. What type of surgery did you have? I need cervical prolapse and vaginal prolapse repair but mesh is not an option (I live in Scotland where it has been banned anyway thank god). Sorry to hijack the thread! My prolapse is really getting me down at the moment!

Hiya emma, it was called Anterior vaginal repair, I stayed in for 1 night and then came home, pretty much back to normal after a few days. Made such a difference. Wish I'd had it done sooner!

I was at mass one very rain6.morning. was kneeling down doing pretend praying, when I had a fit of coughing.
I pissed like a hydrant then got my set umbrella, gave it a good shake, grabbed DD and made a hasty exit, making coughing noises and hoping I wasn't leaving a trail.
Never went back.
I think God understands a wonky pelvic floor.
I got my bladder botoxed which helped with constant wee wee trips which is brillia t
