is it normal to bleed heavy after having period 2 weeks ago

hi,

i had my little one 5 months ago cycle went back to normal always a few days late last month i was almost 2 weeks late then it arrived on the 10th and on the 17th i started a really heavy painful bleed im kind of scared to leave the house as iv had a few accidents and had to change my clothes as every now and then there is a big flow should i be worried.

i have also not long had surgery to get gallbladder removed.

please can any one help?
