For something funny and touching after a heavy depressing read, try this
I'm told by the author (my mum ) that the publishers have special offers for book groups if you contact them.

Another great Transita published read is Emotional Geology

A good bet for a book group read would be Lionel Shriver 'We Need To Talk About Kevin' - gripping, contentious, unputdownable - also it's got a list of questions for book group discussion at the end.
