Sandi Toksvig whites brilliant novels shocker. Whistling for the Elephants.

Don't get me wrong, I like Sandi Toksvig. I think she's very funny on radio 4 quizzes. I would not have had her down as a brilliant writer though. I picked up Whistling for the Elephants in a tizz because I needed to read something and my dd was about to go into meltdown if we didn;t leave.

I loved it!!

It was funny and unusual and interesting and captivating.

It's beach reading, not English literature. I heartily recommend giving her a go. I'm sure she's written another and I'm going to give it a go.

Anyone else read her?

Thanks for the recommendation - I like her radio stuff (except for her laugh when she's chairing the News quiz) but not read anything by her. Will look out for that for a hols read.
