Reading for night feeds

I've been reading 'Trust Me, I'm a Doctor' on kindle while doing night feeds with my one month old baby and (while also being a brilliant book) the format of it has been perfect for my sleep deprived brain. Can anyone recommend any other books that have a similar, short chapter/section structure? Something it's easy to put down and not lose the thread with. Maybe other diaries or similar. Thanks in advance!

Not a diary, but I read (and sometimes listened to) the Scotland Street stories by Alexander McCall Smith and Tales of The City by Armisted Maupin while doing night feeds.

Both series were originally serialised in newspapers so they are written in chunks.

I read Scotland Street years ago but I've never got around to Tales of the City. I'll give it a go - thanks!

I really recommend them (especially the early ones) - they are such vintage pieces now. I first read them in the 1990s and it's fascinating how much has changed.

I also remember reading some of David Sedaris' essays (the Santaland ones because DS was born in late Nov). He was a slow feeder though, they might be a bit long.

The Tales of the City books. The first 3 or 4 were originally written as newspaper columns. And San Fran in the 1970s is proper escapism from newborns, poo and night feeds!

Libby Purves - How not to be the perfect mother ?
Agree with tales of the city and Scotland street as mentioned above. I'm trying to remember what I read while feeding but can't.
