I've been engrossed in this book for the past 2 days. Incredible.

I'll put it on my list. have just started Edward St Aubyn's Patrick Melrose novels but the first one is so grim so far that I don't know if I will continue

It's by Charity Norman. Don't read if you have a child who is currently travelling!!

I have not read it, but this thread has inspired me to look at it online. It sounds very similar to The Lie by CL Taylor, which I also read in about 2 days.

I really like Charity Norman as a writer. I first came across her book "After the Fall" and I have always thereafter been keen to read her latest novel. As @braceface says, don't read this if you have a child travelling on gap year www.tripfiction.com/review/lead-review-author-talks-setting/

Just finished it, having seen it on this thread. Only took me two days which is the quickest I've read anything in a long time. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
