Thinking about it as a holiday read? Is it fun?

Yes it's fun but everyone will know you are reading a really explicit book!!

That's what kindles are for Wink

It's very rude and a completely unrealistic male view of life as a young prostitute, but fascinating and fun all the same.

Yes- read a lot of erotic literature for my degree course (did a long essay on female sexuality and allegorical depictions of STIs in Victorian literature... Confused) .

Anyway- yes it's fun, and silly, and definitely youll snigger.

If you're into erotic fiction and want something that might be actually a bit of a turn on, I found Anais Nin's work- and her most famous collection- Delta of Venus v enjoyable.

It's no more explicit than much 'chick lit' or mainstream romance written now, but at the time it was shocking. As Selma says it's very unrealistic, but it's a fairly fun read.

Sounds perfect. I have some history (silk roads and another) some trash - Marian Keyes and fanny hill think I'm looking forward to my hols already!!

On sexy books I've enjoyed before the story of o? Think I read years ago was great. Will try Venus delta one you suggested!

Story of O is great in that BDSM vein.

Maybe not a beach book though!
