Finished this in 2 days. Found it intriguing and clever even though there wasn't a character I liked (except Boney and possibly Go). Thought the ending was really clever and effective though I know lots of readers dislike the lack of closure.

I hated all the characters. Hated the ending. Hated the whole book, really, although I was compelled to finish it. Normally I find something sad/a connection/like even for the worst protagonists in books. With this one, I thought they all deserved what they got...

I think the structure is a really difficult one ot pull off and as a piece of craft, this novel was well executed.

It also raised a lot of questions usually left to more literary work.

So all in all, I'd say it was an ambitious piece of work.

For me, it went a bit daft at the end. What had been an exceptionally nuanced novel, descended into out and out thriller teritory. Actually, I love thrillers, but I felt the mix up of the two was problemastic in GG.

I'm with lougle I thought it was shite, I wanted all the characters to die in a mass suicide pact.

The only thing I liked was the ending as I like books/films that aren't all wrapped up nicely.

Hated the characters, found it unbelievable and dull and only finished it for book club.

Can't understand why this book got such a lot of attention when Dark Places was so much better.

I can't recall another author's characters all being so unpleasant.
