Just read the review of this in The Guardian: www.guardian.co.uk/books/2013/jul/05/what-do-women-want-daniel-bergner and it made me think it would make interesting reading.
The basic premise seems to be that scientific evidence shows that women are just as sexually adventurous as men, just as liable to get bored in LT relationships, just as curious, just as reckless, just as promiscuous, and perhaps the only difference between men and women is that we're better at managing and controlling our desires in order to keep our families together.
Two lines really stood out for me:
- I imagine it's like meeting your wife at 4am in the saloon bar of life. If you're here, who's minding the farm?
- "Behind every beautiful woman, there's a man who's bored with sleeping with her".
I think I might read it.
