Yes. It's a lovely little book. Easy to read and good story. Not anything high powered or meaty, but very good book to get lost in.

It's written as letters which can be annoying, but suited the narrative.

I agree- definitely worth a read- I remember really enjoying it. One of those books where you can't really find anything else like it.

I read this last month and loved it. It is light but you learn a lot about Guernsey during WWII. Agree about the style sometimes being annoying but you get used to it.

Yes! Yes! And thrice yes! Loved it.

Another "yes" here. In fact may go and download it myself so that I can re-read it (I have been unable to do this having leant my "hard" copy to DM who is notorious for then passing books on to all and sundry instead of back to their original owner, grrrr!)

Yes definitely. And I'm going to download it. The copy I read 2 yrs ago was from the library and I've missed it ever since!

Definitely. I really loved this, a nice light read, but a lovely story.

I loved it. It's deeper and more skilfully crafted than some posters seem to realise. But very cosy.

Didn't like it much. There was no depth. Too cosy and predictable

I adored it.

I agree with Starfield on this one. There's a lot of subtlety to it.

Ok, an almost unanimous yes then! Thanks, I've bought it - not that much to lose for £1.97 anyway....
