What do you reckon? I want to read one now and save the other for holiday. Ps, I know they wont be heavy reading but, seem to have good reviews.

Have read them both and loved them both, although they're very different. Personally, cried my eyes out at both (wasn't even pregnant and hormonal at that point either!) but probably overall preferred one day. So depends what you're like - I'd probably read when god was a rabbit and save and savour one day?! But def read one day before going to see the film!x

I didn't rate One Day at all. So predictable.
Haven't read the other one.

I havent read When God was Rabbit, nearly bought it recently but a friend of mine told me she had it, and when I asked her for it she proceeded to tell me ALL about it......I have read One Day, and I have to say I loved it...love the idea of it being on that day every year for forty years.....soooo I'd say read One Day on hols and save the other one for the winter!! One Day is probably a bit predictable, but its light and its funny and emotional, a good predictable...sometimes its nice to get away from serious/heavy stuff....and like Pep124 said, read it before you go see the film.....Anne Hathaway is nothing like how I imagine Emma to be at all...Happy Hols by the way Kitya

Just read those two - one after the other. I preferred When God was a Rabbit and would save that one but One Day is great - although didn't feel I cared much about either of the characters - just liked being reminded about university days at the beginning. I can imagine Nicholls scribbling down all his mates' witticisms and then cobbling them all together.

I can't say I rate his books though, that's my problem.

Read some really bad reviews for One Day, and the bits of the film I have seen and heard make me want to heave.

I quite fancy When God was A Rabbitt but have loads of other books to trawl through first.

Ive started When God was a Rabbit. Im enjoying it. Its my era. Ive never been into chick flicks so I cant imagine that I will be going to the cinema to see One Day.

I have read them both, think WGWAR was prob a better, more thought provoking read.

One Day is easy, quite chick-litty although is written by a man, reminded me of 90s Bridget Jone type stuff. But the structure of it, although gimmicky, is done quite cleverly.

One Day. I found When God was a Rabbit tedious.
