Meetings vs Online and weigh in day

I'm thinking of starting WW soon. I have about a stone to lose, but more would be nice too!

Just wanted to know which works better for people, online or meetings. Also, if you do online only, what day have you found is the best for weigh-in?

I'm joining this week and am going to do the monthly pass so you go to meetings but have access to all the online tools too. I did WW years ago and lost 1.5st but I have a bit more to lose this time!

I like going to meetings because knowing someone else is going to weigh me keeps me on the straight and narrow!! I prefer to have weigh in day on a Thursday or Friday as I always give myself a day off at the weekend so I've then got a good few days before I get weighed again!

I hate going to a meeting with a gain, so that has kept me motivated. I've also picked up some good tips from the meetings which I was NOT expecting as I was very cynical about the whole thing when I joined. All in all I've lost 3 1/2 stone in the last 8-9 month.

Thanks both! I guess the weigh in day is dictated by meetings of you go to them. Have you found any particular day works better for you?

I think the most important thing about going to meetings is to like your leader. That sounds very simple but it's so true. I can't go to meetings where I live now because the leader is horrible and I don't know how she keeps her job. Such a shame because three years ago I had a fantastic leader and lost three stone (which I have now gained again). I don't think I would do very well with online only, I need to be shamed when I weigh if I've gained 😉

Not that the leader actually shames you but the friends I made at Weight Watchers used to pretend to tell me off if I had gained and it made me want to lose every week.

I've posted this a couple of times, but in the interest of saving people money....

If you go via topcashback for the weightwatchers site, they will give you £15 off the first month's cost of monthly pass, which is £14.95, so they are actually paying you to attend for the first 4 weeks.
