Currently I am roughly a whopping 7st overweight and I know for my mental and physical sake I need to lose it as soon as I can!

It seems a lot and I've tried and failed before but this time I really am deadly serious, I just need some support.

I know I'm not the only one so please come keep me and yourself motivated!

If you fancy a chat, motivation, or even just to vent come here and talk it through!

That's what I plan on doing anyway

I've recently started (5 weeks ago), the Alizonne diet via a clinic in London. I originally had 8 stones to lose which seemed an impossible target. However 5 weeks in, I've already lost 2 stones and am feeling much more positive. I've even bought a size 14 dress as motivation.

I know that the weight loss will start to slow down now but for my health and general sanity I have to carry on with this diet.

So far it's not been too difficult but I think now that the school holidays have started it will start to get harder.

Just keep taking each day at a time.

Well done - I've got a few stones to lose too - though tyring not to diet as such. The only thing Ive cut out is chocolate and then just trying to eat my 5 a day and eat properly rather than gluttunously. It's made a huge difference. Ive gone down nearly 2 dress sizes and feel much better - no big cravings, no OCD tendencies. I honestly think I was properly addicted to chocolate. Now I dont crave it at all. Bliss! My treat snack is a little avent pot of chopped dates, raisens, pecan nuts and blueberries with a small glass of milk. Gorgeous!!

Hi Ladies, was starting to think I was the only one who needed to shift (a lot) of pounds

Leeanne try not to let it get you down! The main thing is that you will get that weight shifted and every pound you lose will make you feel better

Smiley Well done on your weight loss so far must be great to seee the weight falling off , I think I am going to go back to Weight Watchers to give me extra motivation because I need someone to look at the swcales then give me 'the glare' if I've had a slip up LOL

Helium Your treat sounds delicious! I've been making my own ice lollies and having them so might start making them more healthy and I could have one of those or a teeny tiny dairymilk occassionally as like you I had to sort out my chocolate demons. Used to love the stuff but now have a limit of 2 large or 3 small per week. Seems to kind of work!

Well I am going to start properly today so am having a healthy breakfast and might put a note of my food intake tonight so you can keep tabs on me

I'll join you MamaD. I have about the same to lose. Am on holiday at the moment so will have to catch you up on Sunday but am definitely in. I feel awful at the moment, so unfit, heavy, lethargic and ugly. I realised yesterday that I've got one of those fat faces where your features get hidden . Had enough now and need to change.

I'm in! I seriously craved chocolate when I was pregnant and never really lost it...4 years later and I'm now heavier than I was when I was 3 months pregnant so really feel I need to do something.
I have no willpower whatsoever - I do try and eat healthily but am easily tempted, but for the last few days I've been good at taking salad and fruit to work and not popping out for anything else...
I think one of my problems is not knowing what a proper portion size is any more - I recall that before I was pregnant I didn't eat the same amount as DH for dinner, for example, but I seem to be now - habit of cooking that much extra, I suppose, as well as not knowing what "the limit" should be..
So I probably can't give any advice as I am so rubbish - but I would love to hear more from you as you have all clearly made some headway while I have just been dithering about it (and putting on more weight..)

Welcome Eyeballs and Sophia!

Eyeballs hope you enjoy your holiday! I know exactly what you mean that's part of my reasoning too. Never good is it but not to worry. Will catch up more on Sunday!

Sophia you've made some headway just by telling people, and again portions are my main thing too I've alway been on the heavy side but am now the heaviest I have ever been!

Need to do omething about it once and for all.

I would love to join in I have about 7 stone to loose realistically. I lost 3 stone at the beginning of the year, but have put it all back on. I would like to loose a bit in time for my holiday in 3 weeks.
I feel so tired all the time at the moment, I hate going out, I hate looking at myself and feel so unattractive. I really need to do something about this, and do it now!
