Cambridge Diet

I just wondered people could give me 'afterwards' stories about this diet. I can see that a lot of people are currently doing it but I'd like to hear from people who have actually completed it. I've read some great stories online about it and then others where people have ended up even bigger. I've got a lot of weight to lose (BMI of 37) and need to at least start off with a 'quick fix' to motivate me more than anything else.

So is CD recommended or not? Stories please!

Forgot to add, do people only gain weight afterwards because really they've gone back to their old over-eating habits or does it really mess with your metabolism? Also, can you exercise whilst on it?

hi, have posted about this before but always happy to tell anyone lol

i did CD 2 summers ago, lost 2.5 stone and i kept it all off for 18 months (i put on 10 lbs over xmas 08 and new year 09 when i got ill/had a bit of a crap time) i currently weigh 10lbs more than what I did when i came off the diet 2 years a go, so not bad at all.

My bmi is 27, so not officially healthy but I am pretty happy with my shape.

For what its worth the 10Lbs would have gone on during my bad patch irrespective of how the wieght had come off in the first place.

It is a fantastic diet, i introduced food slowly over a few weeks, gradually building up to 3 meals a day, i put off eating bread for as long as i could (about a month after comign off the diet) but other than that I just ate normal (reasonably healthy) food and Like i say, maintaine dthe wieght loss for 18 months

hope that is what you wanted to hear

i think if i had come off cambridge and gone straight back to having 3 yakeaways a week, plus loads of biscuits and chcolate, then yers of course the wieght would have pikled back on and probably quickly.

good for you, let us know how you get on. My stint on cambridge was to shift baby wieght and it worked fantastcially, 13 lbs in the first week and nearly 2 stone in the first month.
