what can I do to get rid of my mummy tummy?

Hi,

I'm trying to loose the extra stone I'm carrying since ds2 was born. I'm trying to go to the gym 3 times a week - 45 mins cardio and a couple of machines and I've also gor a fitness DVD that I'm going to try to do 2 times a week at home.

Normally I carry any extra weight on my thighs but at the moment it's also on my tummy. DS2 is 14 months and I still look pregnant

Would really appreciate any tips to work on my tummy/waist area.

OK, exercise is good, but (what you probably dont want to hear!) is that 70-80% of success with this will be food related, and what you do or don't eat.

I placed a post on another thread about which exericses work best - and this would apply to you as well. I'd imagine your cardio is steady state? ie one pace? Look to change it to intervals, which will also get it done in half time time , try and add in some freeweights instead of the machines, squats, pressups etc, using big muscle groups and in turn burning more calories.
I also added a post on my blog recently about wheat and how by cutting it out or back will really flatten your stomach and help with weight loss.

thanks you're right, I am struggling with the food - I just don't know what to eat !!!

No trouble. Post up 1-2 days worth of everything you eat and drink and times consumed, and I'll gladly give you some feedback.
