I was going to suggest wheat too.

I have recently stopped eating wheat and cannot believe how good I feel.

I have lost that 4 months pregnant looking bloated tummy which used to form by early afternoon and grow into the evening.

Maybe you could try wheat free for a couple of weeks and see if it helps.

It sounds a bit like hard work but I have found loads of wheat free alternatives which taste really nice.

yes my tummy constantly looks like this!!!

Sounds stupid but other than bread, biscuits, what else do I cut out and what can I have as an alternative

Superlopy, could you suggest any wheatfree alternatives for sandwiches?

I have been on atkins diet for nearly two weeks and i too have had no wheat . Also no sugar or starch such as rice, pasta or potatoes. I have only lost 7lb but you can really see the difference ...it's all gone from my waist!

7lb is really good 3 pounds a week...I would be chuffed at that!

You really need to become a label reader, I have found wheat in so many things which I would never have imagined to have contained wheat actually do.

It is possible to buy wheat free breads, some are lovely and quite heavy so very filling. I can't really recommend any brand names as I am in Australia. Maybe try porridge as an alternative to weetabix.

Rice pasta or noodles are nice. One tip I was given before starting this diet was that fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and rice are all wheat/gluten free so stick to basic foods.

I must admit it takes more time and quick easy snacks take more thought but I don't feel like I am suffering or missing out too much.

I am currently wheat free as my DS has eczema which has all but disappeared since I have stopped feeding him wheat. I am still Bfeeding him which is why I have stopped eating it too.

I have been eating loads of rice cakes too. There are some tasty ones out there if you search. Just make sure you load them up or eat half a packet!!!

My standard lunch lately is either salad with a couple of hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese, carrot, cucumber, baby potatoes. A huge serving!!

Or rice with tuna. I remember from when I was in London that you can buy small tins of flavoured tuna at the supermarket. Just mix one of these into a bowl of rice. Nice and tasty and EASY (and cheap)!!

Now I must go to bed as it is 12:40am and I have got playgroup in the morning - I am taking a delicious big plate of buckwheat pancakes! Now I'm hungry...

When I was wheat free, I found that the breads were much more palatable if toasted.
