Ok i waant to know...

The cheapest most effective diet in the world!

See i dont eat, and i mean anything for days on end mainly because im skint but also because i just dont feel hungry like msot people do as ive grown used to not eating.

Now before anybody tells me off i know its not healhy and im looking to change it.

My problem is this:

I want to go on a diet (even though ill b eating more )
I dont have ANY money.
I dont want to eat much at all.
Im a tad picky.

However here is the pros!

i dont care if i only eat one apple a day if it works.

Anything at all is an improvement over nothing so im not asking for new healthy diet involving 3 meals or more a day!

im not looking for a miricle quick fix just something that works that doesnt inviolve eating a lot.
Like some kind of apple a day or soup diet thing.

So am i asking to much or is there something liek this out there?

I currently weight just under 14 stone and am a size 16/18

My goal is to get down to a small 14.

I dont know what i want to weigh but im guessing about 10 stone would be a good weight because im quite tall and big boned with Huge boobs so not expecting to be skinny.

No i know that i did say i know its not healthy but its physically impossible for me to eat one meal a day never mind 3 i would explode!

I cant do the little and often thing either as i eat the little and then im to full for the often! lol

I think you are not eating enough.
I once worked with someone who was about a size 18, despite exercising a lot she never lost weight. She joined Weightwatchers, ate more (of the right stuff) and lost about 4 stone.
You need to make sure you eat regularly otherwise your body will store fat.
Perhaps try eating more fruit/veg/salads and cutting back on carbs?

But thats just it though at this point in time i cant afford to eat more of anything im barely meeting ends meet and my main focus is making sure the boys get all the food they need obviously that is more important than me.

If i eat more i feel bloated and horrible so im not looking to eat more than one thing a day because at least that is more than im doing now i cant just jump straight into anything big

How come you are over weight if you eat so little? Where did the excess come from, I mean like do you binge or drink beer or something else? It is very odd to be heavy if you eat very little. Perhaps you need to see the gp first?

I used to have a bit of an eating disorder and became very large but then got pregnant with ds1 and was so sick i ended up being a size 14 which i havnt been since i probebly was 14! Then when i fell pregnant with ds2 i ended up binging on junk food until i ended up being a size 20.

Ds2 is 2 in september and since then i got down to a size 16 (18 on a bloated day) but just not shifting anymore ive been just under 14 stone for about 6 months now and i dont know why i havnt lost any more maybe its because my body stores it or something

NO i dont mind i know i have a serious problem with food still and slowly but surely im working on it just find it hard when i look in the morror and see myself so huge i cant physically bring myself to eat any more healhy or otherwise

thats why im hoping if i can find some sort of diet which only incolves a little food and start losing some weight i might feel better about myself and allow mself to gradually eat more IYSWIM?

Fad diets eg one apple a day, don't work, and are dangerous.

Money is a big issue for us too - as it is for lots of people.

I buy lots of veg, and make a huge soup, which I then freeze in smaller containers.

It's quick and easy to get out and reheat when you need it - and it's CHEAP and nutritious.

You need to eat enough to allow your body to function properly.

It will help with feeling better about yourself, your outlook on life, give you more energy, so you can get more exercise, lose more weight etc.

Do you drink alcohol? If so, maybe try and give that up for a while (are you on ADs? If so, they don't mix anyway) and spend that money on getting some decent basics for the kitchen cupboard.

Cereal is cheap and a good option.

You can't expect to lose weight if you eat next to nothing. You can also cause irreparable damage to your body.

I agree with dior and I think you should talk to your gp about it. No one on here could possibly advise you but you should get some help as it is very damaging what you are doing and you need to keep yourself healthy for the sake of your dc's. No point feeding well them if their mum is damaging her health.

Breakfast - porridge made with value oats

snack of fruit (pick in season as it is cheaper)

Lunch - veg soup (again whatever is in season or marked down)

snack of oatcake and small amount of cheese (value mature not too bad)

Dinner - Baked Potato with baked beans

stuff like this would cost very little - you can always freeze the soup too if you make too much.

However - I agree with the others that you maybe need to talk to your GP.

Blimey that sounds like a lot of food.

What about just the oats in the morning and the bowl of soup for dinner with maybe a piece of fruit for lunch?

Surely thats enough considering what i eat or dont eat now?

And then if i lose anything and my omoach gets used to it add in a proper lunch?

Tbh theres no point talking to my gp about it i spoke so him once and he just said well its all in your mind so start eating

Hes right though the only person that can change it is me so he cant do anything

You need to see a different GP.
Go back, and sit there until they refer you to someone who is experienced with treating people with eating issues / disorders.

rose - tha would be a starting point. Try to make sure that everything you eat has good nutritionasl value - you need it.

You do need to speak to someone though sweetheart.

You won't lose weight by eating nothing or just an apple a day. No one can exist on no food/so little food. This may explain why you are so tired and unable to cope with things at home. You need to really look at eating more - even if it is just fruit and veg - they don't cost much at all. x

you have to remember that your body is like a car. you wouldn't expect your car to run without petrol so why expect your body to work effectiviely on no fuel?

i know you are depressed and you find life quite taxing-that is probably because you are deficient in all the proteins, vitamins and minerals your body needs.

you need to start eating properly and as soon as possible otheriwse things will start happening like your teeth and hair falling out, your bones becoming brittle, your skin becoming sore etc.

sounds like your attitude to food is still disordered

normal people eat 3 meals a day and a snack or two

if you are up early with DCs, say 6.00 am, then don;t go to bed until 10.00 pm, that is a lot of hours on the go and you need to eat regualr balanced meals

just running around after the dcs will burn calories

eating one meal a day or less will set your body into starvation mode and you will not lose weight

some good suggestions on here, and you should try to see another doc

you need to nourish your body, your children and you need you to be healthy and one apple day is not normal , nutritious or healthy
