Who has just got to their target weight? Shall we support each other while we are trying to maintain?

I started the year at 12 stone I'm not 9.6 stone, I'm still exercising at least twice a week and watching what I eat from Monday to Friday.

Come and tell me your story and how you are planning to maintain your weigh so it doesn't pile back on!

Well done
I was 14.4 in January and am now 10.6.
Ideally i would like to lose another 4 to 6 lbs but am in no rush as im happy at this weight and look ok so im told !-im 5 ft 7.
I was thinking of doing the same as you, trying to be careful through the week and maybe trying to walk more for exercise.
Its hard though isnt it?

Yes it is hard, part of me has had enough of "dieting" now part of me wants to get down to 9.3 (i'm only 5ft 3) my belly is still wobbley so I think another few pounds off and toning is the way to go tbh. I find I'm eating more biscuits and cakes then compensating by living on porridge and ryvita and jacket potatoes when I should really be eating better meals and less junk!

How did you lose your weight? I did the core plan with WW.

I did Slimming World .
I found it a nice change as i did WW after the birth of my DS two and a half years ago but it does get boring eating the same kinds of foods !

Today I've eaten 3 weetabix, 2 crackerbread with light philli, 2 biscuits a yogurt, few grapes and then for dinner I've had southern fried chicken and chips and half a choc dip.......think I need to be good for the rest of the day!

maintaining is WAY harder than dieting ..I speak drom experience. I am currently * stone 10. having lost about 2 stone since xmas.. I find if I watch what I eat through the week and enjoy the weekends I can keep it off..BLOODY TOUGH THOUGH

I did Slimming World, lost 1 1/2 stone, I have managed to stick to it without actually going for the last four months, yes I agree it becomes boring. Haven't reached target weight yet.

thanx is always hard to lose weight but ime harder to keep off. I have several friends who dieted , lost it all only to relax and put it all on again. Heartbreaking to watch as it seems to happen so quickly. I chant over and over again...no food tastes as good as thin feels...it helps me to get over a biscuit moment!!

I daren't relax, we're getting married next year so I've got to keep it off and i think if i can keep it off until then, then i might aswell keep it off for good now we're not having any more dc's (got 2 dd's already) this is why i need this thread to help me (need all the help i can get!)

I'm still exercising because it means i can have more treats plus it's toning and it's great stress relief, there's nothing like swimming for an hour or jumping around in a pool after a long day it makes me feel invigorated - I NEVER thought i'd be so into exercise! I played football last night and scored 2 goals plus headed the ball and it just missed the goal! Felt good to be running around like a kid again, being so big made me feel old!

Morning ladies
Its good to have a goal to keep you going isnt it?
My brother gets married in 5 weeks and i am chief bridesmaid so that has been my goal.
In January,8 weeks after having DD i had to try on a dress in the shop, well i was just mortified as it looked bloody awful!

I have also been telling myself that "nothing tastes as good as thin feels" it does help keep you away from the biscuit tin.
Unfortunately my DP and i have recently discovered a takeaway near us and their tuna pizzas DO taste as good as thin feels!
I succumbed and had one on Saturday night as well as tonnes of other rubbish yesterday so am really trying to be good today!
I would love to get back into my swimming (used to go 3 times a week pre DC) and i found it really helped keep my weight down.
Its hard to find the time though with two under 3s and an 8 month old with separation anxiety!
I really should get out walking more though,no excuse for that!
