Checking in. Haven't weighed for a few days but last time I did I was a fairly rubbish 2lb down on the month.

I've got a lot of busy weekends coming up this month so I'm not going to make any big claims. I'll keep checking in here though.

Well done to those who lost in January. Halo

Checking in! Planning on a super golden month as I’m on a skiing trip first week of March so need to limit the damage

Food has been reasonably good this weekend. Lots of exercise too. So all in all a success.

I'm going to work hard at it next week. I'd like another 4 lindas of at least in February. I'm going away for half term though which might scupper it!

I weighed in today at 13.8! I'm 5' 8". I want to lose 2 stone. I've been majorly comfort eating and it needs to stop.

Hello Slenderistas! Happy February!

poorpaws over 5lbs for the month is SUPERB, and if I'm not much mistaken it makes you slimmer of the month! Everyone's made such a great start, I know everyone gets impatient and wants to kick the whole lot off in one concerted effort, but for everyone to be clocking a loss is really brilliant. Especially well done to TV, knew you'd see those elevens before the month was out Smile

Welcome SameOld and meme - holy cow, 86lbs is phenomenal! What's your approach? We've got a fair mix of different diets and lifestyles going on here, everybody is welcome Smile

I'm 1.1kg from my comfortable weight. Would be AMAZING if I could get close to it by Friday, as I've a huge weekend lined up, and then am away for an indulgent Valentine's weekend in 2 weeks, so will quite likely be treading water this month...! No weekday indulgences in the works though Smile

Oh dear paws Sad Just trouble finding your mojo, or is your bum knee getting you down? Sometimes after a good start the motivation wears off and the fatigue starts to show - the whole fandango can be, as we always so, so hard and boring. But so, so worth it! If it's just motivation, it's probably the weather as much as anything that's getting to you, I get the gloomy blues too at this time of year. If so, really focus on how amazing you'll feel on the first lovely weekend, which shouldn't be more than a few weeks away now, when you can pop on a lovely dress or a T shirt and walk out feeling ten squillion bucks!

Hope everyone else is keeping their chins up. I've been bolstered by my great weigh-in last week and have my gimlet eye on another on Friday, so stepping like a fiend!

Paws you can do it!

Think I'm going to rein in my February target so any loss/a maintain. Going away for a week for half term so will be indulging in hotel breakfasts etc. Will keep on it the rest of the month though but think 4lb off is a bit ambitious

Red I'm hoping for a good loss this week then like you won't expect much more than maintenance for the rest of the month too, there's too much going on!

I'm looking at the weather forecast for the weekend - what's the betting the "strong wind and heavy rain" expected on Sunday when I plan to stay cosied up indoors migrates to the Monday when I'll have to be out in it?

Diet not good. I had to have my beautiful little dog put to sleep today, I’m devastated (and drinking wine to her).

Oh @poorpaws I'm so sorry. That is such awful sad news.
You deserve all the wine.
We had our old girl pts in September and it was so heartbreaking.
Healthy eating can wait.
Sending you lots of unmumsnetty hugs CakeThanks

How are you doing @poorpaws ?

I've eaten awfully this weekend but hey ho. I'll have a good week next week and then it's holiday for a week.

Might even do some low calorie/fast days next week

Well I’ve hardly eaten for one and a half days so my weight should be going down. I just can’t face food at the moment, I’m brokenhearted. God it sounds so dramatic when you write it down but that’s truly how I feel.

I’m blessed with family and friends who want to come over and stay with me and comfort me but at the moment I just want to be on my own with my other two dogs. The terrible weather here is reflecting my mood.

Red thanks for asking.

I’m sure you’ll do well next week to make up for the weekend. It’s really hard not to give into temptation, especially at weekends.

QuimReaper · 10/02/2020 13:24

Oh God @poorpaws I am so so sorry, what an awful day Sad Of course you're broken hearted, that's not dramatic at all: you've lost a member of your family, and you have every right to be devastated. I still miss our dog and he was put to sleep two years ago. Hope you've been being kind to yourself even if you can't face food: wine and chocolate are very much permitted at times like these!

On Friday I had a STS on the scale Confused Was bizarre, as my eating had been flawless and I really smashed the steps. Guess it was just a blip, I'll hope to see a bit of movement this week. I ate about eight million calories this weekend so was only holding out for a STS but am now hoping last week catches up with me and I see a bit of a loss!

poorpaws · 10/02/2020 20:11

Quim I fear you know me too well. I popped to the supermarket today, my trolley contained chocolate, crisps, ice cream and wine. The fruit and veg I normally eat is rotting away nicely and I’ve given the chicken and ham to my two remaining dogs.

I hope everyone is having a good February. I’m sure I’ll be back to normal next week.

Thank you Red and Quim for your very kind words.

Oh no paws that's so awful. I'm so sorry. Yes any amount of comfort food is completely understandable. Look after yourself as much as you can. It's such an awful loss. I always say dieting is a luxury when times are good. Sometimes it's not the most important thing you've got to worry about. Flowers

As you can tell by my late response I've been avoiding the thread. I really don't have anything positive to report. I've got lots of good intentions though. I'll be back. Confused

Report
QuimReaper · 11/02/2020 11:08

paws I hope you're feeling a bit less wobbly for some self-care Flowers

Off to a pretty rubbish start this week - some mindless grazing yesterday, and not as many steps as I'd have liked, although I'm proud of what I did achieve given how horrific the weather was; luckily I was on the home straight by the time the gale and rain really started, but I had hailstones slamming into me by the time I was running down my road! Very unpleasant, and apparently not planning to be much nicer today, although at least it's apparently going to stay reasonably dry...!

Hi, can I join please?
I started healthy eating/fasting 2 weeks ago and have lost 2lb so far. I currently weigh 65kg and want to get down to 56kg.
I'm doing a mixture of eating better, will fast 2/3 times a week and have upped my steps to 20 thousand a day
Also doing plank/squats.
What day are you all doing weigh in?
