The ‘Crunch’ mouthfeel

Aside from crudités and the crisper lettuce leaves, it seems to be quite challenging to find the satiating ‘crunch’ of say, a piece of toast, a crispy roast potato, Doritos and crisps, while trying to lose weight. Broccoli if done al dente, yes...but other than that, have you found any little tricks to get around this issue, which admittedly is mostly psychological I guess?

Corn thins are nice.
And pistachio nuts are not too high in fat.

M and S have started doing salami crisps now which is good for low carbers like myself!

Good to know Pistachos are lowish in fat. They take a while to eat too as you have to shell them.

Ittsu Seaweed thins are good but an immoral amount of packaging for 5 calories or whatever. If anyone knows another seaweed crisp maker...

Rice cakes. I'm into some by Kallo that are made of lentils. I think they are really tasty.

Kale crisps (roasted kale in the oven for 10 mins with small amount of oil, salt pepper and chilli flakes!) So yum!!!

Pickled onions work well if you also want a strong flavour

Ryvita rye rice cakes or roasted chickpeas coated in chilli flakes and smoked paprika - 20 mins in the oven and they're done.

Cloudscanlooklikesheep - just looked the salami crisps up - seems they do Serrano ham and chorizo versions as well! Woo hoo, no carbs and air dried not fried. Faintly miraculous, thank you!

Danish white bread toasts nice and crunchy. Good with marmite if you like it. Crackerbread is good (although not if you load them up with all the forbidden things as I do). Snack a jacks I love.

I snack on baby plum tomatoes because they're gorgeous very sweet and can eat an entire punnet of them for minimal calories
