I joined SW 6 weeks post partum- they have a breast feeding version and are approved by Royal Colleges (obstetrics, midwifery).

Started trying to lose weight after a year when stopped breastfeeding. Lost most the weight naturally but one stubborn stone wouldn't come off and didn't want to diet incase it affected my milk!

I started at 6 weeks post-partum and lost 2 stone in about 9 months. There was no issue with my milk supply. I used MyFitnessPal to count calories and went back to exercising. For breastfeeding I just made it a custom exercise and said it burned 300 calories a day. Now I have an older baby I don't include it anymore.

As long as you're sensible and don't do some sort of crazy crash diet you should be fine. Be warned though, breastfeeding can make you feel very hungry!

Helsvamp, like you, I liked pro points best. There is an app called Ultimate Food Diary that uses propoints. It's £5.99, which is a fraction of the cost of WW. I have used it for the past 9 weeks and have lost exactly 9kg so far. Best of luck whatever you decide to do!!

Quick if you don't mind me asking, how much of a diet are you doing? Usually if I'm dieting, I'd go for a 500 calorie deficit most days, aiming to lose a pound a week - is that reasonable? I'm due soon and I can't stop thinking about my post baby body! I know it's silly but I think I'd feel better if I had a plan! Blush I don't want to overdo the diet because I'm planning to breastfeed, but I'm itching to get started haha
