Question about VLCD

Hi, I started a VLCD 9 days ago. The first few days were difficult- headaches etc- but it passed and I was feeling okay. Then had a day at the in-laws on day 8. I just didn't want to get out my bars or whatever, and talk about 'the diet' so ate everything the same as everyone else (and didn't hold back I'm afraid). I'm going back to VLCD today. Will I have to go through the same brutal 3/4 days of headaches etc again?

Sorry no one has answered you haven't heard of that before and (save me googling), what is it?

Ime quite possibly. The headaches etc are probably sugar withdrawal symptoms. Stay as hydrated as you can. Good luck, it's brutal.

No you shouldn’t, it is hard to stay on it doing it like that though so try not to. It’s more a psychological thing though, willpower is tough! Good luck!

It's all about the carbs. Was your meals carb heavy ? Pasta ,Potatoes etc, also how sugary did you go as they are carbs as well . Fats usually do not cause you to come out of Ketosis, which you should have been in to maximise your loss on the diet. You could try to ' flush ' them out of your system by drinking extra water ( not too much, too quick ) Hopefully you didn't drink any alcohol as again in ketosis that is a big no no ( very damaging to your health )
