Best method for quick results?

DP and I are getting married in 10 weeks. I'm eating healthily and exercising, and I really hate "faddy" diets and "shortcuts" which I know don't provide long term results. But I'm looking for ideas about what I can do to maximise my weight loss before the wedding, then return to a healthy diet & lifestyle to continue on my weight loss journey afterwards. What would you recommend?

Honestly I would calorie count on MFP. Set it up with your weight, height etc and how much you want to loose and stick to it religiously. It absolutely works if you log absolutely everything that passes your lips. Then I would aim to do strength training or something like 30 day shred 5-6 times per week to help tone up. I’m doing the above and have lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks and wasn’t overweight to start with so not masses to loose.

If I notice the clothes are feeling a little tight, I also calorie count on MFP.

Combine that with 'super fasting' two days a week (Mondays and Tuesdays), and that's usually good for dropping a few kilos in 10 weeks.

Super fasting isn't exactly like 5:2, as you're not restricted to 500 calories over the day. Instead, you skip breakfast and lunch (drink water, tea), and then have a super nutritious, plant/protein-based dinner (doesn't have to be just 500 cals).

Juicing but it's easy to do and you never feel hungry.
Get the app for a couple of quid I think?
It works. My friend lost 13lbs in 7 days to fit into a dress for a special occasion.

Long term I have continued having a juice for breakfast, sometimes one for lunch as well then eating healthily for the rest of the day and all the weight I lost has stayed off. I feel great.
Weekends I eat what I like.

What are people’s experiences with tablets like I see advertised on the TV (XLS Medical for example)?

Why make it expensive for yourself?

Being a gluten free vegan, take up walking or some other exercise and doing 5:2 will save you lots of money as well as getting you slim and healthy Grin

Low carb seems to be the way to go, I think.

Between getting a diagnosis which meaning it would be wise to go low fat and bring so fed up with eating over the christmas period I have decided to try and loose weight ... Plus a rather romantic holiday has just been booked so I finally want to get rid of all the baby flab!!
I'm currently down 2.3kg in 9 days. I'm vaguely inspired by Michael Mosley's med diet.
Current (in theory) zero snacking but I've been known to eat 1 or 2 crisps from DC's and this morning I had 2 mini marsh mallows which annoyed me so it will be zero carbs at lunch time.

Breakfast-i NEED a high fibre cereal to get my bowel working so I refuse to negotiate on that. Greek yogurt and berries would be a healthy alternative.
Lunch- salad with eggs or ham
Dinner- cooked meat (high protein, low fat) with a heap of veg or salad.
It's currently working for me, I'm fairly strict with myself but not always. I'm a bit miserable in the evenings and hungry but I know it will be worth it.
I've always been self conscious of my size, admittedly I'm not huge but as I'm so short I think I need to be a size 8 at the most to look good. I'll never have nice legs though (sob). This is the first time in 20 odd years that I've had such good results so I'm determined to push it out until Saturday, then I'll try a variation of the 5:2 that works for me.

I think different diets work for different people, you just need to find something that works for you.

Low carb, cut out refined sugar, stock up on healthy snacks. The blood sugar diet is amazing for cutting cravings.

Also do something like Jillian Michaels Shred religiously every single day. It will help tighten up everywhere that needs tightening.

Depends on your particular body OP. For me it’s cut out carbs/go very low GI. So no bread, pasta, rice, potatoes. Any snacks need to be high protein low carb (eg nuts). I cba with calorie counting.

Depends too on your starting weight. If you've only a few pounds to lose it'll take more work.
