Eating less Book

I am back looking at Gillian Rileys book again after umpteen years!
I have never stuck with the programme she suggests and yet every fibre of my being says its the way forward. Forward to self esteem and away from addictive eating. It is hard and we find excuses not to follow it. Facing any addiction takes courage and perseverance. I stopped smoking using Gillians method which was similar in principle. Facing the addictive desire and toughing it out. So after many years of addictive eating I am really going to persevere. One week at a time for at least 3 months. I have never stuck with it that long and like you I hope to notice positive change and if I do then I will continue. Join me?

@strugglingsoul are you still doing this? How's it going?
Like you I haven't managed to stick to Gillian Riley's eating less approach BUT I keep coming back to it.

I was doing fine with this approach til about last June then events hijacked my efforts - building work on our house meant we had no kitchen, so we lived on a diet of ready meals, takeaways, cold food and meals out. The works finally finished now and we've got a lovely new kitchen waiting to be used and I'm overweight and feeling unhealthy. I've dallied along the way with various weight loss and healthy eating approaches only to realise that the only way that I can believe in and that suits me is Gillian Riley's eating less approach- so here I am - ready to give it a good go again.

I recommend her online seminars. There's a course starting soon. If you Google her it should come up.

Good luck

They're quite expensive though, aren't they?

They are, but she offers early bird discounts and sometimes closer to the start of a course she will discount it. Sign up to her emails for offers. It was worth every penny for me and paid for itself in months as the amount I spent on crap food, junk food, pret lunches in work etc drastically reduced. It was an unexpected positive bonus

@alphaechokiwi I just thought I'd let you know I've signed up for the next set of webinars

I got an email yesterday from Gillian Riley with a free week and it just seemed to be exactly the right thing to do and the right time. Like you I thought of what I'm spending on food, big clothes and diet books that I don't read it'll save me money ultimately
