Back strengthening exercises

Morning all!

Please can someone recommend abreally easy to follow YouTube or online course that will help me strengthen my lower back?

I had a baby 7 weeks ago and am looking to resume running in January but can’t do nowt until my back is stronger. Plus carrying the nipper in a baby Bjorn isn’t really great for things either.

Please shower me with wisdom o dear mumsnetters x

Pilates helped strengthen me back up, there are quite a few videos on Youtube, though I got the best results going to a group :)

Yoga has helped my back pain. I go to a group, but online I would recommend yoga with Adrienne on YouTube. She specifically does one called ‘yoga for back pain’ or something but you don’t need to limit yourself to that necessarily. I would also recommend seeing a physio. I have lower back pain but the physio showed me that the issue was actually with my mid back (which was creating pain lower down). Good luck!

Man, I loved my physio but we are so skint I can’t afford her right now. I’m actually saving to get a private postnatal assessment in January but need to start doing the right thing now, back is so twangy.

All good stuff so far, keep ‘em coming! Vids catered for the sleep deprived and clueless welcome 👍
