Starting SlimFast

heyheybaby · 20/09/2017 12:35

so i had a baby last october and my weight rocketed and not i have 8 stone to lose, i started slim fast today and i have had breakfast and lunch shake and to be honest i'm not feeling too bad right now

i did a bit of googling and i couldn't find any recent groups to join to see others progress so i thought i would start one myself and keep people updated as there is nothing worse than a thread where op does not update

would anyone like to hand hold or join?

day 1

can i be honest with you...? eating out of a box sounds depressing and expensive ...!

have you looked into keto diet? looks amazing and apparently you're never hungry. all seems to make sense. I'm going on it.

then add in a 6 hour window for eating for other benefits ...

just a thought

Good luck! When you give up on fake additive filled food, try nutracheck and calorie counting. Wink

I'll try and be here for support, Slimfast has worked for me and I'll be back on it next week and through to Christmas. I have many food issues and can't /won't eat salads etc so it's a good solution for me.

If I can shift a chunk of weight I will then go back to eating plain cooked from scratch food and using mfp to lose the rest slowly and sensibly.

Or, you could trust yourself around real actual food. Perhaps foster a healthy relationship with food for yourself and your child.

@Emisabellarose I lost 3 stone before getting pregnant and gaining it all back because they baby always wanted cake and creamy pasta Ive just started it again last week and lost 3lbs in a week so far. I don't tend to the snacks tho just extra water. But I think the shakes are nicer then most others

Ignore the negative folk commenting.
Anything that makes you think about what you eat has to be good. Slim fast has been going for donkeys years, works for some and not for others. I've used it in the past and at the time found it convenient around working., I could have a shake on the train, one in the office and at the start of the week I sorted out my low calorie tea so I knew what I was having each evening. I've only ever used it relatively short term but I found it fine. Getting the Asda (or Tesco, can't remember) home brand 'Slim Fast' was good as it came in individual packets which were good for work. Its simple to follow.
Anyway good luck, one day at a time x
