In need of advice/motivation

Hiya,

I've been doing calorie-controlled for a while and have lost about a stone and a half which I'm chuffed about. But I've hit the dreaded plateau and despite continuing with my calorie controlled, I seem to be losing nothing Sad

Anyone out there to offer some advice/motivation. I've got a way to go, I go on holiday in 5 weeks and I'd like to lose a wee bit more in that time

Thanks x

Going away in just over 7 weeks. Tried on some of my holiday clothes yesterday and seeing how tight and uncomfy has given me motivation as can't afford any new ones...

Yeah, I have no holiday clothes that fit either Sad

What do you do to lose weight?

I've just posted looking for motivation...I'm struggling. Watching this with interest.

I'm doing SW which I love but I wish I could wake up tomorrow and be at target. Angry

How long have you plateaued for?

A good couple of weeks maybe even a month of plateau.
I'd love to be at my target weight. I use my Fitbit so it helps with if I've to eat less/more but losing my motivation slightly.
I did start couch to 5k tonight, think my legs may be jelly!

Think football cliches...

Maybe look at diet project as a game of two halves... first half was the 1.5 stones already lost (brilliant) and the 2nd half is the five week countdown..

So the plateau is the half time team talk and rest period

Now consider bringing on your substitutes at half time - your key strikers!

This week is you just starting the 2nd half...

Can you get up 20 minutes earlier and do hoola hooping using a weighted hoolahoop then get your shower or wash before you start your day? My weight is at my tummy so I feel i am literally attacking the problem at source and am wearing my new bruises as a badge of pride [although the wobbly bits are a badge of shame]

My Fitbit synced to my phone is great... I am trying to do 20,000 steps every day but have to get 50% done before 9.00 am or i don't make it once my work starts..

That's what I do though the dog is always getting in the way
Also doing an evening walk at 9.30pm for half an hour.

You can do it girl Halo

Thanks guys. I've started the couch to 5k to up my exercise but I had an operation on an abscess on my bum cheek and I have to be careful with the wound. Before I had been going to Zumba but I know that I couldn't manage that just now. I'll just have to do lots of upper body and have very muscly arms 😉😉

Can't be easy with a wound there Blush Hope you at least had some fun achieving the injury Grin

Have to say the power hoola-hooping is a real struggle to do 10 mins without giving up. Doing it first thing watching breakfast news with the little clock timer in the corner of the picture is a big help.

However, 10 days in to this regime it is firming up... so maybe the struggle is worth it so better try to start doing another 5 mins before I eat in the evening.

I own very little fitness gear (no surprises) so went out to a Nike outlet store last night and bought myself a discounted set of capri pants and a top.

Envy the muscly arms !

Might be worth looking at Richie Howie. He explains this really well. You'll have to adjust your calorie intake/expenditure.
Well done though!
