Lisa Reily's weight loss

Lisa is in the paper today talking about her weight loss. She looks fantastic and has done so well but she says she only has 400 calories a day.
I'm sure that can't be healthy but she is obviously doing very well on it so I'm just wondering if anyone knows what this diet would be please.

I've answered my own question! I found an article in Woman magazine detailing her typical days food. It's not much but obviously works for her.

Is it a Cambridge diet type thing?

I thought she'd had a gastric band but I'm not too up on the celebs. Is she the one who used to be in emmerdale?

She says that she hasn't had weight-loss surgery. She does lots of exercise, including Zumba. I can't see how 400 cals is sustainable, but whatever she eats must provide enough nutrition for her. She gave up alcohol completely.

400cals a day and no booze... Not exactly a fun life!

I don't believe that can be healthy at all can it?

Even 'very low calorie diets' like lighter life are 800.

I'd be a fucking miserable crying mess on 400 cals a day

She did a lie detector test on loose women to prove she had not had a gastric band.

She must be mad though if she is genuinely living on 400 calories. I would have thought that was impossible to sustain.

It won't/can't last.

I'd eat that much for breakfast. I think Victoria beckham eats more than that. How on earth is eating 400 calories a day good for you. I'm mad as I work with a lot of teenagers who would read that and think it's sustainable or even good for you.

I think she's had surgery? Therefore can only eat tiny amounts. This is why very large people are able to lose weight so quickly. Hasn't it been 10 stone in a year or something?

When I was anorexic I had about 400 calories a day. It is very very bad for you and not at all sustainable.

I once did Diet drops, 400 cal a day. Lost 1lb a day and I thought it was brilliant. Until I saw the state of my b12 levels and my health was a mess. It can actually kill you too, it puts strain on the heart.

I was the same weight as her and believe me she has had surgery or some type. I've lost over 5 stone since November with healthy eating and exercising and I'm being super good and I won't have her results in a year.

She did the 400 cal thing for the first week, then swapped to low carb:

"To kick start her weight loss plan Lisa visited the Slimmeria retreat, run by diet guru Galia Grainger, and was only allowed to eat a tiny 400 calories a day!

Exercising for 4 hours every day, Lisa was up at 7.15pm and in bed by 9pm. Gruelling! Luckily this was only a temporary plan to start getting Lisa into shape.

After losing a stone in just 1 week, Lisa has been steadily keeping up the weight loss by eating a healthy, low-carb diet and doing regular exercise.

“I only eat a carb if I need one and absolutely no bread or booze,” she revealed. ” I’ve been going to zumba classes which is fun. I find the gym is boring. “

Bit yhat confuses me though is she states in the body of the text she's low carb, then the diet plan that's at the bottom isn't a low carb diet plan! Confused

I'm sorry Lisa - just read the article and apparently you didn't have surgery. I thought you had and were open about it, must have been mixing you up with someone else.

Apologies Flowers

She has that crazy manic wide eyed look about her. She needs some cake.

I believe her when she says she hasn't had surgery, and it must be so annoying if she hasn't and everyone thinks she has.

I think she's looking really good and admire her will-power to stick to it so rigidly.

I remember Fern Britten did a big diet thing and then admitted to surgery.
