Cambridge and 5:2?

I'm sure this has been done to death but I can't find a thread that answers me.

Can I combine Cambridge with low carb on a 5:2 sort of a basis, i.e. strict VLCD mon-fri but more pleasurable at weekends?

I need to lose a lot of weight. I don't have a lot of will power and really enjoy food. I'm quite good at low carbing as I enjoy the food and have never really had a sweet tooth.

I have a holiday booked in three months and have faffed about since Christmas not losing anything. I now need to lose as much as I can before the hol but find Cambridge all the time soul destroying and I hate the dried food. I crave fresh food.

Would it work? I need to up my exercise hugely as well and that starts with an active weekend planned.

Advice oh sage ones please Smile

Have s look at the harcombe Diet. You don't count calories and phase 1 is just 5 days. I lost half a stone in that 5 days.

Thanks for that, I have the book and like the look of the food.

It takes a bit of reading into phase 2 but honestly it was a revelation to me. Good luck.
